My Background
My technical skill sets come from Aircraft Engineering, Computer Hardware and Software Engineering, Software Programming and Teaching, Management and Marketing.
My non-technical skill sets have been a youth leader, and ambulance officer, President of the Wellington Fly Fishers Club and Maintenance Officer of the Aorangi Ski Club. I have developed and farmed two lifestyle properties in Auckland building a house, sheds and barns. (Yes, cutting each and every stud and nog and putting in each and every nail.)
My interest in wood came from helping my father build yachts in our garage in Titirangi many many years ago. We used to sail with the French Bay Yacht Club. My brother and I built one of the first glass/foam sandwich jet boats in Auckland.
It is a combination of all these skills that has allowed me to fit nicely into Harp Building.
